The house of Higglety Pigglety
How gorgeous! I want to go for a picnic with them! So often I want to jump into one of your paintings.
Love the colours of the water. How long did it take to paint? (if you dont mind me asking) Penny.
Its nice to now people would like to jump into my paintings. This painting took me about a day and a half. It would of been quicker if I had not been distracted by the Curlew and seagulls and got in a fluster about painting the dogs. It did take most of a day of planing. I had been keeping my eyes out for the right referance for a rowing boat for ages. I tried looking at all the ones down by the river but could not figure out how I could show the picnic and the animals.
Your use of colour is stunning, Joanna! And such a cool painting!(At the moment I'm drinking my tea out of a mug that's got Santa Claus, snow and penguins on it. Sort of helps!)
I do love to see a work in progress and now it’s finished you can see the dogs are real characters. Your artwork and the world you paint have real warmth and a feeling that nothing bad will ever happen. :>)) What a wonderful place to escape to.
Cool would be nice right now! (We're experiencing record high temperatures). Lovely colors...
A wonderful painting, realy! When you make a book, let me know.Sigrun
