A little reminder of warmer days to come, a 'day at number 92'

We have been to measure up for curtains at our new little house at lunch time. We took pictures of all the windows just to remind us as what it all looked like, as well as measuring. I wanted a picture of the little Rayburn I'm looking forward to stoking up and keeping warm on wet days like today.

A new home is always exciting - so much to decide on!
And what a treat - a Rayburn!
I am moving later this year and leaving behind a much loved Aga and i hope that the new owners of our house will be as nice as you and look forward to owning a proper stove and not rip it out and replace it with a modern fright!!!!
Good luck with the curtain search x

I love all the adventures your painted animals seem to have and share (Love the kitty on the dressing table in the last post). Wonderful sense of whimsy.

There is a definate art to running each rayburn, they will all be different because of the chimney set up. Let me know if you need an instruction sheet, I can always photo copy mine and post it to you. It looks fairly new, but to be honest my first job would be to get it serviced (yellow pages) and swept!!
Looking forward to following your journey in your new home!

I love the picture of the beach huts. Reminds me of the huts at West Wittering. And to have a beach hut filled with cornishware would be my dream. I'd love to have a little beach hut.
Your little rayburn looks lovely. How exciting to be moving into a new place and planning and making curtains. Hope we're going to see more pictures.
Hope you enjoy watching the sailing. I think we're going to get wet on George's boat!

That rayburn looks good Joanna! When will you move in?

It's very wet and extremely windy here too at the moment.
